Exploring Brittany

Islands and rias

We have the good fortune to work in a magnificent setting, just a stone’s throw from Belle-Ile, the Glénan archipelago, and leafy rias. It is an ideal starting point for one- or two-week cruises, as well as for shorter trips lasting from 2 to 5 days.

Allow 25 nautical miles to reach Belle-Ile or Les Glénan. In a single leg if the weather's right!

Groups, families, solo sailors, cautious or experienced crews, sailors or yachtsmen, there's a sailing programme for everyone.

More about us

Pleasure & Safety

At ILORIA Bretagne, we maintain and prepare our fleet for a variety of crews.

The team works hard every day to ensure that you leave port with peace of mind and return happy with your sailing experience. Pleasure and safety are the watchwords of our business.

Our base is located in the port of Kernevel at Larmor-Plage in Morbihan. It was founded in 2019 by Thomas de Verdelhan following on from the ACV (Atlantique Concept Voile) base, which retained catamaran rental.

What does Iloria stand for?

Iloria refers to the islands and rias of southern Brittany.

The river estuaries are called Aber in northern Brittany, and Ria in southern Brittany.

Testimonials

Very warm welcome,
Always very good,
well-maintained and well-equipped boat!

Pierre E. @ bord de Nala (RM 970+)

Thank you to Thomas and his team for their warm welcome and kindness. Their trust, simplicity and good humour are remarkable qualities that make you want to come back. We rented a JPK 9.60 and then a Mojito 888 from Iloria, all great memories.

Christophe D.

We had an excellent weekend and would like to thank you for it. The NAPA is a brand new boat, and very pleasant to live with, both sailing and at anchor, as well as to manoeuvre. She's an excellent walker in a breeze, and goes upwind very well: at 30° with 18 knots!

Joël C. @ bord de Napa (Dufour 390)

Frequently asked questions

Who is my contact at Iloria?

Thomas de Verdelhan, founder and managing director of Iloria Bretagne: I'm the person to contact if you're looking for an estimate (rental) or if you want to become an owner (purchase, sale, management).
You can reach me by phone, e-mail or via our "Contact us" page. 07 70 25 52 16 irb@iloria-bretagne.fr

Which foreign languages do you speak?

Thomas can speak English and German. Some technicians speak English.

Do you rent the yacht with a skipper?

The charter does not include a skipper. However, we can recommend skippers with whom we work regularly. Remember to confirm your request as soon as possible, especially in high season.

How long is the rental period ?

The classic weekly rental starts on Saturday and ends on Friday evening. It is of course possible to book for 2 or 3 weeks, or even longer. Shorter periods (2 days) are possible out of season.

Where are the best destinations from Lorient?

The port of Kernevel in Lorient harbour provides direct access to the sea whatever the tide. Just opposite, the island of Groix makes a great stopover on your way to or from your holiday. A few hours to the west will take you to the Glenan archipelago, Concarneau, Port la Forêt, Loctudy, etc. To the east, a host of famous destinations await you: Belle-Ile, Houat and Hoedic, Quiberon Bay, La Trinité, the Gulf of Morbihan... With a bit of experience, you can take a cruise a little further, to Crozon, Brest, for example, or to the Ile d'Yeu. For more experienced crews, Lorient is also a good starting point for a cruise to Spain.
