Resume

IMX45

XO is a superb IMX 45 designed by X-Yachts and naval architect Niels Jeppesen. This yacht perfectly combines performance and comfort. Ideal for IRC racing, she was meticulously refitted in 2025 after more than seven years out of service. She also boasts an excellent IRC rating. Her design and equipment make her an excellent choice for fast cruising and ocean voyages.

The interior of XO was completely refitted in 2025. It is simple, spacious and functional, accommodating up to 8 people. It features a comfortable saloon, a large chart table on the port side and a U-shaped galley on the star board with a double sink, a new gas hob and a fridge. The woodwork has been refurbished and then varnished or painted white to brighten up the interior.

The layout comprises three cabins, including a forward cabin with a double bed, two aft cabins, each with a double bed and a frame berth, as well as additional sleeping options in the saloon. The saloon table will easily seat 8 people. A bathroom, with a renovated shower and toilet, is located at the forward end of the saloon on the starboard side.

The mast, boom and spinnaker pole are made of carbon fibre, and the standing rigging is made of rod. The standing rigging was replaced in 2018 and has covered no more than a hundred miles since then. The mast jack was refurbished in 2025. The boat’s sail plan consists of 2 mainsails (1 Dacron, which has only been used for a single day, and 1 slightly older fibre sail), 4 genoa sails (1 in very good condition on snap hooks and 3 others on a luff line and therefore currently unusable on the boat), 1 solent (also on a luff) and finally 3 spinnakers in very good condition, including 1 asymmetrical one.

The electronics are original but have been checked and are in working order. These will likely need upgrading depending on the future owner’s plans. The boat does not currently have a windlass, but it is possible to add one, which could be included in negotiations regarding the price and any additional services required.
