Houat Island

Houat Island, and its little sister Hoedic, are located east of Belle-ile, lie east of Belle-Ile, in line with Quiberon. These small islands with their fine golden sand have an immediate edge-of-the-world feel to them.

In Houat, most sailing boats are moored off the large beach on the island’s south-east side. It is a rather magical place, best visited in calm weather conditions. Depending on the wind direction, you can also moor your boat on the south coast of the island, or on the north coast near Saint-Gildas harbour.
